Assumption of Risk and Indemnity - Please Read Carefully
We are excited to be working with your child on the upcoming program!
JUMP! does not want to frighten participants or reduce their enthusiasm for outdoor adventure, but we believe it is important to inform participants in advance of the risks and our policies towards them. If there are situations deemed to be unsafe, JUMP will adjust activities in line with our Program Policies and Procedures.
Assumption of Risk and Indemnity:
The JUMP! Foundation (JUMP!) operates under global standards for risk management and has taken extensive measures to provide participants with briefings, training, equipment and skilled facilitators so that participants can enjoy an activity for which they may not be skilled. However, we wish to remind the Student/Participant and parent/guardian (collectively called “Participant”), that JUMP! Activities are not without risks.
Certain risks cannot be eliminated without destroying the unique character of the activities. These elemental risks can also cause loss of or damage to your equipment, accidental injury or illness, or permanent trauma. JUMP! does not want to frighten participants or reduce their enthusiasm for outdoor adventure, but we believe it is important to inform participants in advance of the risks and our policies towards them.

Natural hazards include lightning strikes, sudden weather changes creating inclement conditions, landslips, and malady from insect bites and exposure to animals. Personal hazards include one’s own physical condition and capacity for the physical exertion associated with these activities and sensitivity to cold and heat.
The Participant is aware of the intrinsic risks of the Activities, including injury to self, and understands that the description of these risks is not complete and that other known or unknown or unanticipated risks may result in injury.
Participation in any Activity is purely voluntary; no one is forced to take part in any aspects of the Activities they are not comfortable with. By taking part, the Participant elect to participate in spite of the risks. By participating in this program the Participant accepts those risks involved.
The Participant will not undertake any actions that may jeopardize the safety of the Participant or those around them during the Activities.
