If you are a movement based performer ready to participate in this aquatic fairy tale and are eager to bring the IMF patrons out of reality by immersing them in a world of art, color, and inspiration with parades, flash mobs, interactive experiences, pop-up parties, and artistic scenes played out to catch the imagination and leave a smile – then we invite you to fill out the application below ad join our fun!

This will be a work exchange program where performer interns will be taking on (2) 10 hour days of the festival performance industry.

All Performer Interns will need to submit a $220 deposit that will be refunded 30-45 days after the festival if they have completed their full assigned shifts. This is to insure responsibility and to make sure performers do not disappear into the crowd once they have received their free ticket of a $300 value.

Performers must have at least TWO videos of you performing ready to submit. These videos should be 3-5 minutes in length. They do NOT need to be professional, home videos recorded with your cell phone camera are perfectly fine.

*Required: Do you agree to a Work Exchange Program? *
This will be a work exchange program where performer interns will be taken on (2) 10 hour days of the festival performance industry including 1 hour of check in and initial costume/make up preparation, 3.5 hours of roaming performance time, a 1.5 hour break to go to their camp for dinner, 1 hour to check back in and touch up make up and costuming for the night time, then 3 remaining hours of roaming performance time. Performance time will have scheduled cool down breaks. Performers will be assigned to large groups to swarm patrons and create a new world. Performers will have 1 full day off to experience the festival and have fun as they please as well a full educational day of performance enhancing workshops. (*All performers will still need to attend any meetings that may occur on day off). As Imagine Festival paid over 600 artists and performers last year, once we reach our capacity, we would still love to provide the opportunity for more talented individuals to join the aquatic dream. Our private paid performance application deadline has passed, however, interning this year will place you on the email list for the application next year.

We did this last year and it brought our attendance percentage from 50% to 90%.

We plan to have a body painting and costume add-on team on site to compliment what you bring for your assigned performance role and aim to give you one month to prepare your costume for your performance themes.

This year we will be guiding certain qualified individuals through the real time festival management experience of being in a leadership support role of a large production by participating as Team Lead support while still having the opportunity to perform on site. We are looking for those who have prior leadership experience, great communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to adapt and improvise in challenging situations. All of these skills will be built upon to aid you on your journey in your performance career. If interested, please describe your qualifications and experience in this capacity:
