Scholarship! We offer music talent scholarships to incoming students
committed to participating in the choral ensembles at Columbia College.
Scholarship amounts vary depending on your financial aid package and other
scholarships awarded.
You have the option to either audition in person on Saturday, February 22, 2025 OR submit a pre-recorded performance (priority deadline by Feb. 22). Please review the audition requirements below.
IN PERSON VOCAL AUDITION (February 22, 2025): Applicants must prepare a contest-type solo that demonstrates tone, vocal range, and technique. Students may present a classical, musical theater, jazz, or contemporary piece. Examples of acceptable audition pieces can be found at the link below:
Applicants must be accompanied by piano or instrumental track. Applicants may bring their own accompanist, or request an accompanist to be provided.
PRE-RECORDED VOCAL AUDITION (February 18, 2025): A full length vocal performance of a contest-type solo that demonstrates tone, vocal range, and technique. Applicants may present a classical, musical theater, jazz, or contemporary piece. Applicants must be accompanied by piano or instrumental track. The videos should be full body length with a clear view of the face. We ask that the applicant clearly state their name and title of their piece at the beginning of each video. If opting for a Pre-Recorded Audition, this video should be submitted with this application.
The music talent scholarship can be renewed provided you remain active in the choral program, maintain a 2.0 GPA, and continue to demonstrate academic and artistic merit, motivation, determination, and passion for the music.
