Hope House serves the local refugee community from Somali in Lewiston, Maine.
They are a group of warm and loving people who like to sing and dance.
As God has called His children to be loving our neighbors, we'd like to take a trip there to help serve the families with our love and resources from God. The trip is from Tuesday 8/8 - Sunday 8/13. We understand that asking for days off work may not be feasible for everyone. So part of the team would come up just for the weekend on Friday night 8/11. But if you can, we would encourage you to join us the whole time. We will take the families for outing in Portland on Sat, help the Hope House with various needs in their center, host the carnival for kids, as well as help them with their market day on Wednesday. Even if you can't go physically, you can still be a part of the trip through prayer, financial giving, donation of clothes, toys or stationary.
It will also be a great time of community, fellowship and fun. We will visit some beautiful sites on the way and spend nights hanging out and sharing with each other.
If you have question regarding the trip, please contact Timothy Huang at
. The registration is from 5/21 - 6/11. Our maximum capacity is 25 people. There will be several training sessions before the trip and the first one will be Sunday 6/25.
