Leadership Studies Program Application & Personal Statement
OCTOBER 1 (for FALL admits); Notification Date: on or about OCTOBER 15
MARCH 1 (for SPRING admits); Notification Date: on or about mid-MARCH
In order to ensure timely completion of all program requirements, students must apply for admission to LEAD no later than the Fall semester of their Junior Year (or prior to exceeding 75 credits, whichever is sooner). Applications will be reviewed by the LEAD Program Coordinator in consultation with Program Faculty. In the event of a denial, the student will be notified of the reasons for denial and have the opportunity to appeal the decision to the Program Coordinator and the CES Dean’s Office. Admission to LEAD is selective and at all times provisional: Students must remain in good academic standing and adhere to a standard of conduct that reflects a high level of personal integrity and maturity. Students who fall below either standard are subject to dismissal from the program at the discretion of the Program Coordinator, in consultation with Program Faculty.

NOTE: The primary recommendation should come from a Chapman faculty or full-time (non-student) staff. Recommendations are NOT required for students entering Chapman with “Pre-Admission” to LEAD via the Chapman Admissions Office (Please provide evidence of notice of your pre-admission when you submit your application).

To be considered for admission to the program, please complete the following application form. Please direct any questions to Kelly McCuen, the LEAD administrative assistant, at kmccuen@chapman.edu (714) 997-6788
