Thank you for your interest in our program. Becoming an EMT is a great step in starting a career in Emergency Services. Our program is designed to prepare eligible candidates for certification by the National Registry of EMT's.
This program is 140 hours in length and is delivered over a schedule of 17 weeks. Classes are held at the North Country Career Center and may include visits to local ambulance bays. Besides time spent in the classroom, all students are expected to be loggin ride time with a local ambulance agency(ies) that has agreed to support student learning.
The cost of this class is $700 for Tuition and $75 for the Textbook. many of our students qualify for the VSAC Non-Degree grant (www.vsac.org), which would typically covers tuition and text. If you will be paying for this course yourself, please ask about our Tuition Assistance, which is not dependent on income or assets. At times we can help self-pay students with 50% of the tuition. We are also willing to design payment plan options.
Once your application is complete NCCC Adult Education office will contact you to schedule an interview.
