Rock Camp! 2021 Intern Application
Thank you for your interest in returning to Girls Rock! Canberra's Rock Camp as an Intern this year! Interning is a lot of work and responsibility, but it is also really rewarding. We expect Interns to model leadership behaviour by assisting adults in varying capacities, helping campers stay focused on the varying activities and helping move, troubleshoot and set-up gear each day.

Interning is very much about being a helper, learning how camp operates behind the scenes and requires a strong desire to learn how all of our gear works and needs to be set-up. If you are looking to have a week where you work on creative self expression, your music skills or how to play music with others then we do encourage you to be a camper instead - applications are now open at https://www.girlsrockcanberra.com.au/rock-camp-2021/

All Rock Camp Interns must have attended one of our camps before, be 16-18 years old at the time of camp, and feel confident playing at least one instrument. Interns will receive daily lunch and morning tea, as well as a GR!C mentor t-shirt.

Location: Ainslie Arts Centre, 30 Elouera St, Braddon ACT
Time: Monday 20 – Friday 24 September, 9am-3pm
Showcase: Saturday 25 September, 1-3pm at Ainslie Arts Centre
All Interns will need to attend a mandatory Orientation day, Sunday 19 September, 1pm-4pm.

This is a volunteer position, however Interns will be paid an honorarium of $200 for their time and energy

While we usually welcome applications from interstate, because of the impact of COVID-19 and the uncertainty of border restrictions, we will be prioritising applications from Canberra and surrounding regions (ie. Braidwood, Yass, Goulburn).

If you have any questions about the Intern position or this application, please contact us at girlsrockcanberra@gmail.com

APPLICATIONS DUE MIDNIGHT SUNDAY 22 AUGUST.
We will get back to you by Wednesday 25 August.

We are involved with a range of events throughout the year, including all ages gigs, events with partner organisations, and fundraisers. We’re looking for more people to help out at these events. As a small team, we sometimes need help with things like graphic design, putting up posters, and other little tasks as they come up. Let us know if you’d like to help us out!
