Rainier Valley Greenways
Neighborhood Greenways are safe, healthy, living streets, usually one off of main commercial streets. Neighborhood Greenways link parks, schools, libraries and neighborhood businesses, while providing a quieter, slower street for communities to blossom with children and adults who choose or need to walk, exercise, walk dogs, use a wheelchair, or ride a bicycle. People who drive cars and service vehicles are still able to drive slowly and park on Neighborhood Greenways.

No volunteer commitment required to join our group, but we’d love you to help plan and speak up for a linked network of safe, healthy streets all through Rainier Valley!

In Seattle in 2012, there are 17 active neighborhood groups and City funding for Greenways in five neighborhoods. We are growing quickly in Rainier Valley and all over Seattle with people like you!
