Pan-African Solidarity Education Network (PASEN) Questionnaire

The Pan-African Solidarity Education Network (PASEN) is a network of scholars, educators, academics and researchers from across the African Diaspora and the African continent, working in solidarity and a shared vision for the advancement of the education and skills development of African and African heritage youth.

PASEN is conducting a scoping audit/study via a web questionnaire.
(Note that in the questions which follow, items marked with a red asterisk as shown below must be filled out)

Aims & Objectives of the PASEN Audit/Scoping Study

    • To generate an international overview of the state of Pan-African education in the African continent and in the Diaspora, with a view to assessing the gaps, challenges and opportunities for advancing the vision, aims and objectives of PASEN. • To create synergies in the international landscape on Pan-African education so as to engender the development of collaborative networks, research and development paradigms. • To frame and capture the international landscape on Pan-African education so as to fully inform the work of PASEN, avoid duplication of existing initiatives, maximise the utilisation of limited resources, and enhance the targeting of activities in the areas that are most under-served to achieve sustainable impact.

    Submission of Completed PASEN Questionnaires

Following the completion of the international audit/scoping study, the PASEN Executive plan to convene an international Workshop in South Africa • To bring together a select group of scholars, educators and intellectuals from the continent and the Diaspora, to discuss the outcomes of the international Study; • To share and disseminate the findings, and formulate an international action plan and collaborative Pan-African work programmes to advance the vision, aims and objectives of PASEN • To formally conceptualise and frame an initial work programme for the PASEN initiative for the next three year period and to elicit formal commitments, engagements and support from key stakeholders across Governments, the private sector and civil society in the continent and in the Diaspora. Places on this international workshop will be limited and priority will be given to those participants who have comprehensively completed and submitted responses via this questionnaire. So please complete yours and send it in ASAP!!!
