General Eligibility Requirements

In order to proceed with this application you must:
• Be well-respected in the community, particularly among those who are previously incarcerated and/or engaged in violence and/or the underground economy
• Submit to a Criminal Background Check (Prior offenses do not automatically disqualify a potential candidate)
Disqualifications may include:
• Active Probation/Parole
• If currently under Supervision, must:
• Secure a Letter of Support from your Supervising Officer
• Secure a Letter of Support from Current Employer; Community Member; or Religious Leader
• Be Cleared by Law Enforcement (ex. Not Subject to Current Investigation)
• Pending Criminal Charges, including Sex Assault, Domestic Violence, and Child Abuse
• Megan’s Law Registrant on any Tier
• Current Involvement with Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P)
• Bilingual (Spanish) Speaking, Writing, and Reading Strongly Desired
