Commissioning Survey: Promoters
Thank you for contributing to the Commissioning Survey: Promoters, building on a 3-year research undertaken by Art of Festivals on behalf of Jazz North to develop a new process-driven approach to commissioning work, rather than a premiere/performance-orientated one.

Following a sector consultation with 25 artists and artistic directors, a pilot project with Manchester-based composer and improviser Rodrigo Constanzo and research into promoters' operational capacity, this next stage of development aims to establish a consolidated approach to commissioning new work that can assist the jazz sector in building relevant partnerships and encouraging new thought processes.

Do you commission new works or present projects with multiple components, such as residencies, participation or education?

Jazz North is conducting research to understand what would be most helpful to support you - and the artists you work with - in creating and touring new music.

This survey is anonymous, with an option to share your email address if you would like to be kept informed of future developments or would like to be contacted to contribute further to this project.

When commissioning a new project, what type of support would be most helpful for your organisation to enable the project to reach its full artistic and audience potential? *
Please rate from least important (1) to most important (5).
