Title: Books (and more) Behind Bars: The GELA Prison Libraries Project
Description: The GELA Prison Libraries Project has worked to support incarcerated readers in Edmonton-area prisons since 2007. Our session will outline how we got started and developed, our philosophy of service, and how anyone can support people who are incarcerated.
Instructor: Allison Sivak is one of five co-founders of the Project. She works as a librarian at the University of Alberta.
