Rank and File Contract Survey
On Friday, June 2, 2023, the DOE prematurely released the school calendar for 2023-2024 before a tentative agreement was reached. With this release came the announcement that the UFT and DOE have not reached an agreement on the pilot workday (M/T P.D/OPW time). Without this agreement in place, schools would revert to the default schedule from the 2014 contract and work 37.5 mins (M-Th) after the instructional day has ended.
We want to hear from the membership on how they are feeling about this move by the DOE, so please take a minute to respond so that we can organize our chapters for next steps.
