Regardless of their family’s country of origin, many first-generation Americans live through common experiences. For this event in our "First Gen DMV" series, we're asking speakers to consider their adventures in dating and relationships.

Dating, pretty much by definition, is both exciting and terrifying, and nothing exaggerates both of those aspects like a touch of multiculturalism. Navigating two (or more!) languages, customs, and sets of expectations can be both fun and stressful, and we’re here for it all. If you identify as a first generation immigrant in the DMV, come tell us your dating stories of growing pains, whimsy, chaos, and joy. Let's commiserate about the many mixed signals for mixed singles, together.
