The memorial monument “She Wouldn’t Take Off Her Boots” at LaBauer park is accesible to all park visitors everyday from 7am – 11pm. If you are interested in a guided tour of the monument and/or a visit with artist Victoria Milstein at her nearby studio, please fill out the form below.

For middle and high school classes, college classes, or community groups, tours may be conducted at the site using the self guided QR codes on-site, which are linked to the WSJP website. This information includes general Holocaust educational material and stories of Holocaust survivors connected to our State and community. Docent-led tours of the monument may also be available.

We also strongly encourage the use of a broader curriculum with lesson plans for “She Wouldn’t Take Off Her Boots” created by veteran Holocaust educator and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Teacher Fellow Laurie Schaefer and renowned artist Victoria Milstein, the creator of the “She Wouldn’t Take Off Her Boots” sculpture.
