CSforGood Competition Submission

Nextech is sponsoring a CSforGood computer science competition for Indiana elementary, middle, and high school students. To enter the competition, a team of students will submit a project using technology - either an app, website, or a physical computing solution - to solve a problem in society or their community.

There will be three divisions: elementary, middle, and high school. Each division will have 5 team finalists and each division will have one winning team.

A team must solve a CSforGood problem using an app, website, or a physical computing solution. A team can consist of 3-5 students. Be creative and innovative - the sky is the limit!

The elementary division needs to have a fully functioning paper prototype of app/website or a physical computer solution prototype. A simulated or real prototype is not required.

The middle and high school divisions must have a fully functioning app, website, and/or physical computing solution.

There is no limit to the number of submissions from a school, but an individual can only be a part of one team and work on one project.

Each team must be sponsored by a teacher. The teacher does not have to be a Nextech partner teacher. The teacher must complete the registration form.

A team can only submit one project.

Teams will present their project in the preliminary round. Teams that advance to the final round will have the chance to present their project again to a group of judges. Finalists will be notified by March 3, 2020.
