Mishawaka Res: Where education and recreation meet nature. 
We are looking for committed board members to serve on our organization's governing body. Members are elected to a three-year term. To be successful as a board member, you should have significant professional leadership experience and strong diplomatic skills. An outstanding board member will be passionately committed to the organization’s mission: The Res provides our community with a natural space to facilitate education, recreation, and nature appreciation.
Board Member Responsibilities

  • Know the organization’s mission, programs, policies, and needs
  • Regularly attend monthly board meetings on the second Monday of each month
  • Serve as an active advocate and ambassador for the organization
  • Make a personally meaningful financial contribution each year
  • Serve actively on one or more committees
  • Prepare for meetings by reviewing the agenda, financial reports, and any other documentation
  • Participate in events or work days at the Res
