Pioneer Days Volunteers
We're looking for volunteers! Audubon Acres' Walker Farm Pioneer Days is an educational event that will be held November 18-23, 2019. It involves lots of 1800s-era demonstrations, including blacksmithing, Dutch-oven cooking, cider-making, wood tools, long hunter camp, tours of Spring Frog Cabin, and much more.
We are in need of as many volunteers as possible to help run each of the stations. Some are specialty stations that will need someone with existing knowledge, while others can be learned by anyone. We will be holding an orientation for new volunteers to get everyone familiar with what they'll be doing, so no need to be an expert!
The event runs Monday - Friday from 9:00am to 1:00pm, and on Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm. You may volunteer as many or as few days as you're available, but we do ask that you commit to a full shift when signing up.
