CRS Student Ambassador Training Registration Form 2017

Each fall, CRS University offers training opportunities for students and accompanying staff to equip them to start, deepen and grow their CRS Student Ambassador chapter on campus and partner with CRS in the mission of global peace and justice. This August -- October, CRS will offer 20 training opportunities across the country. A core group of students plus a staff advisor from each university are invited to attend. We welcome universities who have been partnering with us for many years as well as new universities who are interested in building a relationship with CRS on campus. CRS Student Ambassadors who have already been trained in the past (as well as veteran CRS Staff Advisors) are invited to help CRS Staff lead sessions at the training if they wish. Please reach out to the training contact listed below if you are interested. The training dates and locations are listed on the form below.

CRS staff and veteran Ambassadors and Advisors will facilitate the training. It will include opportunities for building community and reflecting on our personal journeys; sharing passion for global solidarity; learning about the story, mission and work of CRS; and hearing the stories of individuals and families in our global family. The training will also provide guidance for implementing the CRS Student Ambassador program on your campus and ideas for the year, particularly around our core "I am Migration" campaign, which is our opportunity to connect with the larger Global Migration campaign Pope Francis will be launching on September 27. In addition, we will share resources around other campaign issue areas, including "I am Human Trafficking," "I am Global Hunger," and "I am Climate Change" as well as the integration of CRS Ethical Trade and CRS Rice Bowl programs.

Please note that updated logistics, including parking instructions and specific building location information will be updated on our "Events" page for your training. Please check there for final details before your training date:

Training sessions are free of cost to participants.

You will notice they vary in length, but you can safely assume that any meals falling within the time period of the training will be included. (i.e. a 10-5 training will include lunch but you should eat breakfast before you come.)

Transportation needs to be arranged by campuses/participants, and CRS asks participants to pay for their own transportation as much as possible. Please reach out directly to your training contact person (listed below) with questions about transportation options or costs.

Lodging accommodations will generally not be provided for training participants. If the distance you are traveling requires lodging either before and/or after the training, please reach out directly to your training contact person (listed below) as soon as possible to be sure your requests can be arranged.
