Some of the most decadent beers have spent months or years slumbering in barrels that have previously been used for aging bourbon, rum, wine, or other spirits. The beers take on character from the departed spirits as well as from the wood itself. Join us as Certified Cicerone David Nilsen talks about the processes involved in barrel aging beer and walks attendees through a tasting of four unique examples.
