Brain Imaging Study of Fluent and Dysfluent Speech
Thank you so much for your interest in furthering our understanding of stuttering!

The Speech Neurophysiology Lab at the University of Michigan is recruiting children who stutter, including those who have stuttered in the past, as well as typically developing children to participate a research study (HUM00119337). The aim of this study is to investigate brain activity associated with speech production in children.

Your child may participate in this study if he/she is a native English speaker between 5-12 years old with no history of cognitive or neurological impairments.

Families typically receive $140 for their time, plus additional travel costs. In addition, the team provides, at no cost, a comprehensive report of your child’s speech and language assessments.

Please complete this brief questionnaire. All of your information will be kept confidential and not shared with anyone outside of our research study. We will contact you within 2-3 days to follow up.
