The daycare and pre-K teachers at MightyKidz have had enough of being underpaid and overworked, in conditions that put the workers, and the children they care for, at risk. They are demanding living wages and better working conditions, and are forming a union to collectively organize and fight for their demands: Magnolia Childcare Union!
Yet, rather than seek to address the teachers' legitimate issues, the MightyKidz administration has — in a stunningly retaliatory move — fired at least TEN workers in an attempt to silence and intimidate them.
MightyKidz teachers demand:
- The administration immediately reinstate all workers they have unjustly fired in retaliation for organizing!
- A $22 per hour starting wage, $25 per hour for lead teachers!
- At least the minimum child-to-teacher staffing ratio at all times!
