IVL Beach Volleyball League Application
Welcome! We are excited to announce our first Beach leagues for the IVL this summer at the Stanford Stadium Courts!

DETAILS:

Each season is 9 weeks long, with 8 weeks of regular play followed by playoffs. The leagues start on Tuesday, June 23 and playoffs will be Tuesday, August 18. First serve is at 7:00pm and we are done by 9:30pm. 

League fees will be $600 for Coed 4v4.

Each evening teams will play two matches and be responsible for reffing one match. A match is two straight sets to 21. 

FORMAT

Coed - 4v4

Upper Intermediate level (BB). Teams of 4 players (2 men, 2 women). Designed for experienced players with solid fundamentals and competitive game experience. Best suited for strong intermediate to BB-level players who can consistently serve, pass, set, and attack.
  • 4 players on court: 2 men, 2 women
  • Let serves are allowed
  • No “female contact” rule, a contact by a female is not required per rally
  • Teams rotate serve; may play any position otherwise
  • No Open-hand tips
  • No Open-hand serve receive
  • Overhand sets over the net allowed only if shoulders are parallel to net and ball travels perpendicular
  • Rally scoring; matches will be played to 21 (win by 2)
  • Switch sides between games
