Transport Chicago 2025 - Call for Proposals
Do you have a passion for transportation and mobility? Are you interested in expanding your perspective among a wider variety of backgrounds? Do you have knowledge, experience or skills to share? 

Transport Chicago invites professionals and practitioners, researchers and academics, and activists and organizers to submit a proposal for our special 40th Anniversary Annual Conference on Friday, June 13, 2025 at voco Chicago Downtown. The one-day conference will feature presentations, sessions, and posters on a broad spectrum of transportation topics and we'd love to hear your voice. 

We are now taking proposals for individual presentations, sessions or workshops, and posters. Please use this form to submit your proposal by 11:59pm CT on Sunday, February 16. The TC team will be in touch once the Steering Committee has reviewed all submissions and made selections. If selected, the TC team will work with you to ensure a successful effort. Types of Proposals 

1. Individual Presentation – A 10-20 minute presentation on a topic of your choice, not including a few minutes for Q&A. Individual proposals will be grouped into full sessions by the TC team.

2. Full Session/Workshop - Present on a topic of your choice for a full session of 45-60 minutes, not including a few minutes for Q&A. Examples of sessions include:
  • Multiple presentations from a team of colleagues wishing to present together
  • Workshop with specific audience discussion topics or interactive activities
  • Deep dive into complex or detailed topic or project with multiple speakers
  • Walking tour accessible from the conference venue
Transport Chicago will evaluate Full Session proposals as submitted and will not add speakers. While the format for this option is open-ended, we recommend full session proposals to identify multiple speakers, as submissions will be evaluated on their ability to utilize the full time allotment in addition to the standard criteria. Please identify a primary point of contact. It is the responsibility of the proposer to secure commitments from all included speakers prior to June 13.

Even if a Full Session proposal is not selected as-is, the TC team may offer the opportunity to present the topic as an Individual Presentation.

3. Poster – Present your research or project using a physical display. Posters will be displayed for the duration of the conference and will be featured during a designated time slot. Poster presenters are expected to staff their poster during this time slot to share their work with attendees.
