Age 12 - 16 years activity options
These activities are appropriate for children aged between 11 and 16 years old who receive FREE SCHOOL MEALS. Each activity chosen MUST be attended for all 4 days
Mondays 26 July, 2, 9, 16 August from 2pm to 6pm: Cricket Camp – learn new skills, make new friends & have fun while you get to know more about your local club – with Sidley Cricket Club at Sidley Recreation Ground – 20 spaces *
Wednesday 28 & Thursday 29 July and Wednesday 4 & Thursday 5 August from 11am to 3pm: Girls Aloud (GIRLS ONLY) – physical and creative stuff with Culture Shift and Fit & Fab Families at Sidley Youth Centre – 15 spaces *
Monday 2 & Tuesday 3 August and Monday 9 & Tuesday 10 August from 11am to 3pm: Urban Zone – Culture Shift programme with graffiti with Tom Goulden 2/3 August and rap/football with Woodzy and Tom Clarkson 9/10 August at Sidley Youth Centre – 15 spaces *
Tuesday 10 to Friday 13 August from 10am to 2pm: World Rhythm & Beatz – Fun, creative drumming & music making from around the world with Sussex Music School at Freedom Church – 15 spaces (+ end of club performance for parents / carers at 2pm on the friday) *
Monday 16 to Thursday 19 August from 10am to 2pm: Get Creative - Get Digital: Creative Technology & Outdoor Fun with Culture Shift, Tech Resort & Hands of Hope at Freedom Church – 12 spaces *
Monday 23 to Thursday 26 August from 10am to 2pm: Sidley Tourist Board – Get creative, explore & express ideas about Sidley’s good stuff! – with a team of lively DLWP artists & makers at Freedom Church Hall – 15 spaces *

There are more young people eligible to take part than we have spaces. If we have to limit bookings to one club per young person, please let us know your first choice

I understand my child is expected to attend all 4 days and Culture Shift & Heart of Sidley aren't able to offer the places to other children. Please let the team know if for any reason your child can’t attend on any day. We will email/text you the programme lead’s mobile phone number. Please circle yes or no for the following questions:
I give permission for my child to take part in our chosen Sidley Summer of Fun 2021 activities and will ensure that they understand that it is important for their safety and for the safety of others that any rules and instructions given by the staff are adhered to. I understand that, while the staff in charge of the group will take all reasonable care of the children, they cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury suffered by my child, unless they are negligent. I will make sure there is an emergency contact available during the programme and consent to emergency medical treatment in the event that activity staff are not able to make contact with us. *
Do you, and your child, give permission for photos to be taken of them? Please consider these may be used by Sidley Summer of Fun 2021 activity providers and our partner East Sussex County Council for publicity, including social media, website & any other publicity. These will be kept for a maximum of 2 years (and can be deleted sooner if requested). *
Do you give permission for us to retain your information on our database? This allows us to keep you up to date with our latest news and upcoming courses. Your information will be stored securely & confidentially, and never shared with third parties. It will be kept until you ask us to remove it, which you can do at any time with a phone call or email. *
HAF (holiday activities & food) privacy statement
In order to administer the HAF programme in the summer it is necessary for us to process limited personal data about you and your child. We will only process the data we need to run the programme effectively, for example names, contact information and any medical details required to keep your child safe. We are also required to share limited personal data with East Sussex County Council, as the organisation commissioning the programme. This will be limited to name and DoB of your child and will be used to confirm their eligibility for free HAF provision. This data will only be retained for the duration of the summer programme and will be securely destroyed once the programme is over. For more information please refer to our full privacy notice.
