My Stewardship Interests
Stewardship: "the careful and responsible management of something entrusted to one's care."
God has given each of us gifts - whether that be a particular skill, personality trait, or tangible item - and calls on us to be good stewards of those gifts. Finding ways to use them to serve our fellow members, community, and world, we use these gifts to His glory!
We want to know what matters to you, and how you'd like to help.
What is your name?
Please tell us about what you do.
Think of this as the "describe your occupation" question ... Tell us a little bit about what you do (even if it's not in a formal job setting), any skills you enjoy using (ex. data entry, carpentry, making presentations, etc), and/or what keeps you busy.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
What kinds of things do you like to do outside of work and church? Do you enjoy playing an instrument? Reading? Working with your hands? Writing a blog? Recreational sports?... List as many as you'd like.
How do you prefer to interact/connect with others?
Please check all that apply.
Large groups are great!
One on one is best.
I prefer to work on my own.
Working in a small group works best for me.
Equally happy with any of the above.
Tell us more! When connecting with others do you find yourself doing one or more of the following?
Please check all that apply.
I like to meet new people and make them feel welcome.
I enjoy having a few close friends.
It's easiest for me to meet others when working on something together. (A committee, a service project, etc).
How do you like to get involved?
Service can look different for everyone - tell us a little more about what works for you. Please check all that apply.
I enjoy a regular commitment or activity - though start and end dates are good! (Examples: Serving on a committee or task force, teaching Sunday School, being in the choir or handbells, ushering, AV team, etc).
One-off opportunities work best for me. (Some examples might include: deep-cleaning the kitchen, helping set up for a special event, a volunteer evening at Neighbors or Feed My Starving children, etc)
Call me the pinch-hitter! I'm happy to help out and serve as a substitute, but can't always commit to every occurrence of an activity.
What's your working style?
Check all that apply. Are we missing one? Use the "Other" option to tell us more.
I enjoy leading and organizing.
I'm happy to help and am a hard worker, but prefer to be given assignments.
I prefer to be part of a team.
Give me a task or job to do on my own.
Who is it easy for you to connect with?
Our congregation has many groups - the youth, the elderly, young families, caregivers trying to take care of the generations on either side of them, empty nesters - and a heart for "feeding every generation." Do you find it easy to connect with one of these groups in particular? Please check all that apply.
