2025 華德福英文工作坊                               Curriculum, Teaching Methods and Goals    
親愛的朋友們，

今年五月Susan老師將再度來台，期待透過老師的參訪，彼此共同學習與研討，精進英文教學。

這次的工作坊我們將完整介紹各年段的英語課程重點與教學目標，以及華德福學校多年來所採用的教學方法，相關的討論內容也將涵蓋各類教材類型。

在英語教學的路上，每位教師都會面臨學生能力差異大的挑戰，老師也將分享如何運用教材，幫助每位學生在自己的能力範圍內持續學習與進步。最後，我們會探討從四年級開始交付給學生的各類作業任務以及家庭作業的重要性。而除了各年級基礎的英語課程規劃外，Susan老師也將帶我們深究：
1.英語課程如何與主課程連結？
2.若英語教師流動率高，如何在教材上能夠銜接得更好。
3.如何協助新進老師掌握課程的流暢度。
4.如何處理學生英文程度的落差。
5.英文課程中班級秩序的管理。

Dear friends,

In May, Teacher Susan will be visiting Taiwan again. We look forward to learning from her, as we collaborate to enhance our English teaching practices.

The main focus of this one-day workshop will be on our curriculum and goals, as well as the teaching methods we use through the years at the Waldorf school. This overview will include the kinds of materials we use.

As every teacher faces the challenge of a wide variety of student abilities, we will also share ideas on how we can use our materials to keep each student working along at his/her own capacity. Finally, we will take a look at the importance and kinds of homework assignments we give our students, starting in grade 4.

In addition to the basic English curriculum planning for each grade, Teacher Susan will also guide us to delve deeper into:
1. How can English courses be connected with the main courses?
2. English teachers sometimes change in high frequency, how can we make the teaching materials connect better?
3. How to assist new English teachers with mastering the fluency of the class?
4. How to deal with the level gap in English class?
5. The management of class order.

3. The target participants will mainly be practicing English teachers, so no interpretation or translation will be provided.

Susan老師的學歷：

  • 美國科羅拉多大學語言學碩士
  • 德國斯圖加特華德福教師訓練證書

Susan老師的教學和培訓經驗：

  •     華德福合格教師，二十多年的英語教學經驗，精通英、德、法語
  •     在德國Stuttgart（第一所華德福學校所在城市）的華德福學校教學14年，帶領G2-G12課程進行
  •     設計美國科羅拉多語言課程，並提供德國高中生至美國學習英語的機會
  •     2015年至今，致力於亞洲華德福學校的英文教學培訓，並開設國小、國中、高中英語工作坊
  •     疫情期間持續開設線上英語工作坊

Academic Background:

  • Master's degree in Linguistics, the University of Colorado, America
  • Certified Waldorf English Teacher, the Steiner Teacher Training College, Stuttgart, Germany

Professional Experience:

  • 14 years of Waldorf English teaching from G2 to G12 in Uhlandshöhe in Sttuttgart, Germany
  • Designing language courses and providing opportunities for high school students in Germany to learn English in the United States
