📢 Join Us in Building a Resilient Sudbury!
Thank you for your interest in the Town of Sudbury's goal to become stronger in the face of a changing climate.  The Sudbury Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness update, called MVP 2.0, aims to revisit the Town’s climate resilience priorities and to translate those priorities into action for the community.

Climate resilience is all about making sure our community is prepared to handle the risks linked to climate change, like really hot days, droughts, or floods. It's not just about cutting down on pollution; it's about making sure Sudbury is ready for whatever comes our way.

As someone living, learning, or working in Sudbury you know a lot about the community; this knowledge is critical to identifying and addressing our most pressing needs! We are looking for people like you, who are connected with your community and interested in building resilience.

Together, we'll figure out what Sudbury needs to be more resilient and then work on making those changes happen right here in our community.

💡 How to Be Involved

We're putting together a Core Team, which will include town employees and members of the community. This team will dive into how climate change affects us, get input from friends & family, and come up with a plan to tackle those needs and support resilience.

We are looking for people like you, who are connected with your community and interested in building resilience. There are several different ways you can get involved:

Join the Core Team as a Community Liaisons: Community members who participate on the Core Team will become "Community Liaisons." Community Liaisons commit to participating for the full 9-month project (see timeline below) and help bring more voices from our community into this process. As a Community Liaison, you will help to lead engagement activities, participate in equity and climate trainings, attend Core Team meetings, and help guide a community-centered climate resilience project. Community Liaisons will be paid a $2,400 honorarium for their participation in this project, for approximately 60 hours total.

Participate in Engagement Events and Activities: The Core Team will be collecting input from the wider community. If you're unable to commit to the full project period, but want to stay involved, this is an opportunity to provide your input on climate resilience priorities and location action and share information with your network. We'll be figuring out activity details in the coming months, but if you'd like to be included in our outreach, please let us know.
