GCPA November 7-8th, 2024 Conference Call for Proposal 
Use this form to submit a Presentation, Roundtable Discussion, or Workshop Proposal. 

GCPA is accepting proposals for our 2024 conference themed Garden of Growth: Cultivating Minds and Community. It is the hope of the GCPA conference planning team that the experience of the conference will engage participants in conversations, learning in the conference themes of growth and community. This is a wonderful opportunity to share the work we do, lessons we have learned, and continue to evolve and innovate the work we do.

Session Type:
Sessions will be in either 30 minute or 60 minute blocks and can be in the format of a presentation, roundtable discussion, or workshop. Regardless of format, proposal should fit within the conference theme of cultivating growth and community within higher education.

Presentations Should be Built Upon: 

  • Evidence-based best practices that can be replicated at institutions and organizations across the state of Georgia

  • Connecting to the conference theme and current relevance 

  • Research and analysis that will form the foundation for transformational change.

Submissions must include the following:

  • Presentation Title (15-word limit)

  • Presentation Abstract (150 word limit) – A brief description to be included in the conference program

  • Presentation Plan (250 word limit) – A brief description or outline that provides an overview of expected audience involvement. Interactive presentations are highly encouraged.

  • Presentation Summary (500-750 word limit) – Extended description of proposal for committee review. Proposals will be reviewed for relevance to 2024 conference theme, thoroughness, clarity and expected learning outcomes. 

  • More than one proposal may be submitted, but only one will be accepted per presenter.

  • The first presenter listed on the submission form is the lead contact and will provide all contact information for co-presenters GCPA. This individual is responsible for disseminating all correspondence from GCPA  to co-presenters as well as organizing and facilitating the presentation. 

  • Presentation proposals must be submitted online and will be accepted until Friday, September 20. 

  • Notifications of GCPA workshop committee decisions will be made by September 27.
