Gender-Affirming Care Grant.
This bursary was created to give a small number of Trans and gender non-conforming individuals living in Peterborough access to the funds they need to purchase gender-affirming items or services. Trent Central Student Association (TCSA) is currently running this program on a trial basis in partnership with The Centre for Women and Trans Peoples (CWTP), and Trent Durham Student Association (TDSA). This initiative was developed following a survey conducted in the summer of 2020 by the CWTP. The results of this survey highlighted the need for accessible and affordable services for Trans and gender non-conforming community members.
We ask for each participant to fill out the following survey to be considered for funding. Please note that there is a limited amount of funding available.
Through this program, we have provided an option for you to order your items, and have them shipped directly to the TCSA Peterborough campus office. This is to ensure delivery access for individuals who may not be comfortable ordering to their home address. If you have been selected for funding a follow up email will be sent.
All applications will remain confidential. Any personal information will be discarded after the Bursary application has been fulfilled or denied. Additionally, if we have been awarded a bursary you will be sent a survey for us to gather feedback and improve this program for the future.
