Timetable (we can adjust times to fit with your bell times):
⌚9.00: Science in a Van arrives and sets up (usually in the hall or another big space)
⌚9.45-10.30: Science Show 1
⌚11.30-12.15: Science Show 2
⌚12.15-12.45: Science in a Van packs up and leaves everything nice and tidy

📌In 2026 you can book Full Force! Celebrating 15 years of Science in a Van for whole school audiences.
📌If a single science show for your syndicate works best, we’d are happy to consider that option too.
📌If you're booking just one show, we’ll pop it into either session 1 or 2. We’ll need about 30-45 minutes before to set up and 30 minutes after to pack down the space.
We bring everything we need. All we require is:
📦An inside space, ideally your school hall or other large space.
📦Access to a power socket near the performance space.
📦Access to a sink, like the hall kitchen, before and after the show.
📦A normal sized car park as close to the performance space as possible OR step free access to the performance space (we have trolleys).
📦No unsupervised students left in the performance space/hall.
Investment
🔖$700+gst per show. This covers up to 100 students.***
🔖You can have more than 100 students in a show. Each additional student costs $7+gst (eg: 110 students $770+gst).
🔖You can have less than 100 students in a show too. There is a minimum charge of $700+gst.
🔖 With one exception... For Auckland schools booking Full Force - there's a minimum number of 200 students/$1400+gst
Relax
📌 Numbers can change — we’re happy to adjust the invoice after our visit.
📌 Cancel within 7 days of making your booking or 6 weeks before the visit → no charge
📌 Late cancellations → 30% fee to help cover travel, accommodation, and lost bookings
📌 No charge if your booking clashes with planned union industrial action or unforeseen events (e.g. Covid lockdowns)
📌 Most school halls, community spaces, and MLEs are fine. If access is tricky (e.g. lots of stairs or a high loading dock), a $100 + GST early setup fee applies
