Intro to Zines with Melina Mehr
Dive into the world of zine making with Melina Mehr (Founder of invisibilities zine). A hands-on workshop on how to make a zine and then creating your own. We’ll be joined by Cherileigh (Managing Editor of ripe.zine) to discuss all things food.

March 3 - 2PM - Zoom / link will be provided day of

Supplies needed:

- Stapler
- Small piece of cardboard/styrofoam/eraser — this will be used to cushion the staple
- About 6 sheets of loose leaf standard size paper. Standard size.
- Scissors
- Ruler
- Collaging materials (glue stick, magazines, photos, etc) and/or decorative materials (markers, pens, paint, etc). Anything you want to add to your zine!


About: Melina Sabeti-Mehr is an independent curator, writer, and community programmer based in Toronto. Using a multi-disciplinary approach to her work, Melina focuses on issues of social justice and accessibility within the art world, transgenerational memory, and storytelling. She received her Master of Museum Studies at U of T and has researched, collaborated, and created programming for the Museum of Contemporary Art Toronto, The Textile Museum of Canada, The Art Museum at the University of Toronto, and beyond. She currently manages her small DIY publication, invisibilities zine, and is an acting team member of The Asian Canadian Living Archive (TACLA).
