We will be taking customers for our 2024 veg box season from 1st of April 2024. If you would like to collect a veg box from us, please fill in the form on the next page and we will be in touch in early April to confirm if you have a spot on the veg box list this year. :)
Our veg boxes contain seasonal, super fresh, delicious and mega nutritious produce! Customers tell us they love the intensity of flavour and the variety they get, and the chance to try new things. There will be a mixture of roots, leaves and fruits that changes with seasonal availability. We try and include staple crops each week while also ensuring customers receive a good variety week-to-week.
We ask veg box members to sign up for a minimum of a month so we know we have a stable customer base and can focus on growing the best veg possible, which is graft aplenty without stressing about marketing and retaining customers!
Any extreme weather aside, the veg box should be ready for first pickup to be in early June, and continue at least until mid October.Whereas other box schemes buy in lots of the produce from other farms in the UK and abroad, we grow everything that's in our boxes at our garden in Parkhead. This guarantees the quality, freshness, and environmental standards of the produce is top notch, and means there's practically zero food miles involved in putting together the boxes.
We encourage veg boxers to come to the market garden to pick up their boxes (on Thursdays 4-7pm) so they get to see where their veg is grown, meet the growers and can have a degree of flexibility in what they get in their box. It's also just lovely for us to meet our customers, and the 'community feel' of the scheme is something our customers tell us they love, too!
