Welcome to the Holy Family Catholic School 2025–2026 School Year!!

We invite all parents and guardians to review the volunteer opportunities below and get involved in our school community. Opportunities include both school-wide and classroom activities, with varying dates, times, and number of volunteers needed.

Why Volunteer?
Your time and involvement make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and the strength of our school community. We deeply appreciate your support! Holy Family thrives because of dedicated volunteers like you!

Important Notes:
  • This form indicates interest only; it is not a commitment. 
  • Committee Chairs will contact you with details closer to each event.
  • EIM certification is required for any volunteer role involving student interaction. No exceptions. Visit www.austindiocese.org for certification info or contact Dr. Danna Kelemen at dkelemen@holyfamilycs.org.
  • Each family is asked to contribute 20+ volunteer hours per school year and log them in FACTS/RenWeb for record-keeping and grant purposes.
  • If both parents would like to volunteer, please complete a separate form for each person.
  • Grandparents are also welcome to volunteer as long as they are EIM certified.

Explore Volunteer Opportunities and Make a Difference! We invite you to review the volunteer opportunities listed below and become an active part of our school community. There are a variety of ways to get involved—whether through school-wide events or classroom activities—offered on different dates and times, with varying needs for volunteer support.

Your time and involvement have a powerful impact on our students and help strengthen the Holy Family community. We’re truly grateful for your support—our school thrives because of generous volunteers like you!

Library / Book Fair
Volunteers will assist with our annual Book Fair and support classroom library sessions. Your involvement helps foster a love for reading and learning within our student's community. Volunteers also help students to select books during book fair, support students during their library visits, help maintain an organized and welcoming library environment. Select one or both checkboxes if interested.

Prayer Group
Volunteers gather each Friday to pray the Rosary and offer intentions for our students, staff, families, and broader community.
 Faith-Based School Events 
Volunteers help prepare for weekly Mass and return items afterward, assist during Adoration, participate in Faith in Action programs, and support other school faith-based events. These roles play a meaningful part in nurturing the spiritual life of our school community.
Angel Boutique (Uniform Resale)

Volunteers support our school’s monthly on-campus resale shop, which offers gently used uniforms and spirit wear to families at affordable prices. This initiative promotes sustainability, strengthens our school community, and gives volunteers a wonderful chance to make a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities include organizing donated items to ensure they’re clean and in good condition, setting up the resale shop, assisting shoppers in finding what they need, and handling transactions during the sales events.

The Holy Family Dad Volunteer Group is a dedicated community of fathers and father figures committed to supporting our school's events and ongoing campus projects. By sharing their time, skills, and enthusiasm, these volunteers play a vital role in enhancing the educational experience and fostering a strong sense of community within our school. Staff Appreciation
Join the Parent Association in celebrating our amazing teachers and staff by helping us show how much they’re valued by the Holy Family community. Volunteers assist with a variety of staff appreciation events throughout the year, including Teacher Appreciation Week, keeping break rooms stocked and organized, and planning celebrations for birthdays, work anniversaries, retirements, and other special milestones. 
Health Committee
The Health Committee plays a vital role in keeping our students safe and healthy throughout the year. This team helps conduct state-required hearing, vision, and spinal screenings, and provides essential first aid support during school-wide events. 

If you have a background in healthcare or just a passion for student well-being, your support is greatly appreciated!

Advancement & Fundraising Events

This committee plays a vital role in bringing to life some of our school’s most meaningful and exciting events and initiatives, such as the Angel Fund (Annual Appeal), Run with the Angels fun run, Grandparents Day, and our Annual Gala.

We’re looking for volunteers to help in a variety of ways! Whether you have experience or interest in communications and marketing, enjoy being an ambassador for our mission, or want to contribute to our corporate sponsorship efforts, there’s a place for you. Other opportunities include decorating, organizing silent auctions, assisting with event logistics, updating websites and signage, creating class projects, distributing prizes, and helping with setup and cleanup.

There are also many ways to support additional advancement activities throughout the year. Whether you’re creative, detail-oriented, or simply enjoy pitching in, your time and talent can make a meaningful impact!

School-Wide Events

This is a fantastic opportunity for volunteers to make a meaningful impact at the school throughout the year—whether by helping at dances, supporting teachers during performances, assisting at field day stations, helping organize STEM and Humanities Night, among other activities.

Your time and talents are truly valued—flexible, behind-the-scenes support like yours helps keep everything running smoothly and makes a big difference in our school community!

School-Wide Support

Volunteers are needed for a variety of consistent, behind-the-scenes tasks that help keep things running smoothly. Opportunities include preparing teacher projects, making copies, organizing classroom materials, assisting with lunchtime supervision and cleanup in the Pavilion, and helping supervise our Safety Patrol students during morning drop-off.

Additionally, you can make a big difference by helping welcome and guide a new family (or families) in your grade(s) through their first year at HFCS—offering support, friendship, and a warm introduction to our school community.

Your time and dedication truly make a difference. This flexible support helps keep our school running smoothly—and strengthens our community in the process!

Parent Association Events

The Parent Association organizes a wide range of events throughout the year that bring joy, strengthen connections, and build a vibrant sense of community among students, families, and staff. From festive seasonal celebrations to meaningful community gatherings, these events are all about creating memorable experiences together.

Volunteers play a key role in making it all happen! Whether you love planning, decorating, coordinating activities, or simply stepping in to help where needed, there’s a place for you to get involved and make a meaningful impact.

Do you have a Unique Family Heritage? 

We’d love to celebrate the rich cultural backgrounds within our community! If you’d like to share your country(ies) of heritage and represent your country in our upcoming Taste of the World event, let us know—we’d be honored to include you.
Private Schools Interscholastic Association

We’re looking for volunteers to coach students as they prepare for PSIA academic competitions! Coaches meet with students once a week for a 60-minute practice session to help them get ready for their events. Practices run from October through March. 

No prior experience is necessary—training and resources will be provided to ensure you feel confident and supported. This is a rewarding opportunity to foster academic growth and boost confidence in our young learners!
