Seaside Revival is a vintage festival celebrating Bangor’s heyday as a thriving seaside resort. Conceived and organised by Open House Festival (in addition to the annual August Festival) this event will take place on Bangor Seafront on Saturday 6 July 2019. Through this new vintage one day festival we want to revive positive memories and use them to create new ones. We hope to reposition Bangor as a modern seaside town, drawing on its unique assets of the seafront, a closeness to Belfast and most importantly, an appetite among residents for change and regeneration. We believe that if local people can connect with their past, they will start talking the town up again and become a key part of the next chapter.
The Open House Festival Open House Festival is a registered charity dedicated to regenerating the seaside town of Bangor, County Down. Our core element is the annual August festival when around 140 events take place in a host of venues and locations throughout the town. This is supported by a year-round programme of concerts and special events, such as Sundown Market and this year the Seaside Revival event. Our VolunteersWe are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and reliable volunteers to help us deliver the Seaside Revival event and make it another resounding success for our town. Our small team depends on volunteers to help at our events, keeping our visitors happy and safe and ensuring they enjoy their festival experience to the full. We require volunteers for the set-up of the Seaside Revival event as well as the event itself
