Camp More Information
The purpose of Camp More is to help kids and teens who stutter (ages 8-18) improve communication skills and build self-confidence. Our mission is to empower young people who stutter while at camp and beyond, to do more: find their voice and use it more, build more confidence and self-acceptance in themselves, and to establish more connections and friendships with peers.

Although we aim to have a high staff to camper ratio, we are unable to provide 1:1 behavior or orthopedic support. This is why we need to know the individual needs of each camper.

IEPs, 504s, and behavior plans from the 2019-2020 school year, if in place, will be requested by the camp directors at the time of application. Parents/guardians, therapists, and/or school staff must provide, in writing, specific strategies to address difficult or challenging behaviors. This should include, but is not limited to: environmental strategies, behavioral techniques, and any other strategies that are helpful. If on an IEP or getting mental health services in the community, release of information forms will need to be filled out and supplied to camp directors in order to allow for proper communication for collaboration and planning.

Daily camp programs will be planned and operated by staff and graduate student clinicians.

Current emergency contact information must be provided for the entire camp session.

Applications should be submitted no later than July 10th, 2020
