The Tow Center for Digital Journalism, based at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, is conducting a project to track newsrooms lay-offs and cutbacks during the period of the COVID-19 /Coronavirus pandemic.
Examples of the types of action we are tracking include, but are not limited to:
– Pay cuts
– Reductions in print frequency
