Infant/Child CPR and Emergencies @Waddle N' Swaddle Poughkeepsie
This class is designed to provide attendees with the knowledge and skills to identify and begin treatment for some of the most serious medical emergencies that an infant or child may experience in the several minutes it may take for professional responders to arrive. The format includes discussion, hands on scenario based practice on mannequins as well as plenty of time for questions and answers. The topics covered are: choking, CPR, severe bleeding and major medical events. The class runs approximately 60 minutes. Please note that this is not a certification class. Attendees with Newborns to 1 years old are welcome and easily accommodated. Otherwise the recommended minimum age to take this class is 10 years old.

About the Instructor:
Nick Paproski is a career Paramedic/Firefighter with over 15 years of experience. As an instructor Nick is passionate about blending his professional experience as a paramedic with his practical experience as a father to deliver high energy and realistic classes for parents and caregivers. He is also active as an American Heart Association Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor. In his personal life he is a father of 3 and is a huge advocate of baby-wearing. His favorite baby carrier is his Tula Engine 21.

Upon submitting this form you will receive a pay-pal invoice. Registrations will be honored in the order in which payment is received. Classes are limited to 12 registrants. Registration fees are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend a class that you have registered for you may choose to defer and use your fee towards a future class, provided you give at least 48 hours notice.

In the event of inclement weather a decision to cancel will be made by 6:00am on the day of the class. Class registrants will be notified by email and can choose to receive a full refund or credit towards a future class.
