We welcome volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds!

Being a volunteer with the Asheville Maker Faire comes with great rewards and responsibilities.

This Volunteer Agreement is a description of the arrangement between Asheville Makers, Inc. and you (the volunteer) in relation to your voluntary work. The intention of this agreement is to assure you that we appreciate your efforts in volunteering with us and to indicate our commitment to do the best we can to make your experience with us a positive and rewarding one.

The volunteer understands that the relationship with Asheville Makers, Inc. is limited to a volunteer position and that no compensation is expected in return for services provided by the volunteer.

EXPENSES
There will be no reimbursements for the expenses incurred unless prior approval is obtained from the management of Asheville Makers, Inc. or if the expenses are officially requested by the management.

WAIVER AND RELEASE
The volunteer release forever discharges and holds Asheville Makers, Inc. harmless from any and all liabilities, claims and demands of whatever kind or nature, either in law or equity, which arise or hereafter arises from the services that the volunteer provided to Asheville Makers, Inc. The volunteer understands that this release discharges Asheville Makers, Inc. from any liability or claim from the volunteer in the event of any bodily injury, illness, death or property damages that may arise whilst performing volunteer duties.

INSURANCE
The volunteer understands and accepts that Asheville Makers, Inc. will not be purchasing any insurance coverage for the volunteer and the volunteer hereby expressly waives such claim for compensation or liability from Asheville Makers, Inc. in the event of any medical or property damage expenses occurred.

PHOTOGRAPHIC/MEDIA RELEASE
The volunteer grants and conveys to Asheville Makers, Inc. all rights, titles and interests in any and all photographs, videos or audio recordings of the volunteer or any likeness made by Asheville Makers, Inc. while providing the volunteer services.

TERMINATION
The volunteer service may be terminated by Asheville Makers, Inc. or the volunteer at anytime.

- Be committed in your volunteering duties and responsibilities.
