UW Leaders Application 2019-2020
UW Leaders is a peer mentorship program for first years, second years, and transfer juniors centered around community, growth, and leadership development! Learn more about our program at http://uwleaders.asuw.org/

Starting in Winter Quarter, we hold workshops every Wednesday from 5:30PM-7:30PM. Topics range from professional development such as linked in/resumé workshops to personal development such as empathy vs. sympathy. You can find a full list of last year's workshops at http://uwleaders.asuw.org/

Another important component of UWL is mentorship! We have 19 wonderful mentors involved in a wide array of majors, RSOs, and jobs throughout campus and the greater community. Each leader will be paired with a mentor, and that relationship can be shaped to fit whatever your personal and professional needs are.

Additionally, leaders will have the opportunity to create a passion project, or participate in community service based on your interests. At the end of the year, there will be an opportunity to present at the Mary Gates Spring Celebration of Service and Leadership.

We pride ourselves in being an uplifting and diverse community of about 60 students total, and are so excited to welcome new leaders for this year's program! Our program is a great way to make friends, to learn about opportunities at UW, and get involved in your community.

If you have any questions, please reach out or visit our office hours on Fridays from 2-3pm in HUB 131C! If your written application is accepted, we will offer you an interview in November. The total time commitment/week for UW Leaders as a mentee is approximately 3 hours. Thank you!
