NFHS & OHSAA Experimental Data for One Way Electronic Communication Devices

The NFHS granted the OHSAA's request to use one-way electronic communication devices on the pitcher and catcher during the 2026 baseball season. For all games, regardless if the experiment is utilized or not, the a coach is required to complete this form for data collection purposes. We hope to collect data pertaining to the following:

1)Risk Management: Injury Reports Associated with Wearable Technology

2)Pace of Play: Length of Games

3)Effectiveness of Communication Devices: Communication Failures

Data collected will be shared with the OHSAA and NFHS at the end of the season. This form must be submitted at the conclussion of the contest by...

The home team head coach if:

Their team utilizes communication devices
Both teams utilize communication devices
Neither team utilizes communication devices

The visiting team head coach if:

Only the visiting team utilizes communication devices
