All members are expected to attend all rehearsals and performances in each performance cycle.

1. All members are expected to review schedules before committing to a performance cycle to look out for any scheduling conflicts that may occur. All conflicts are expected to be communicated to the membership VP/ Artistic Director right away.

2. If two or more conflicts are found in a concert cycle, it is expected that the member will notify the Executive Director and Artistic Director regarding the conflict and remove themselves from the concert cycle prior to the beginning of the concert cycle.

3. If a member must excuse themselves from a concert cycle, a replacement may be found as a substitute for one concert cycle.

4. If a member misses 2 or more concert cycles in a row, then they will be moved to an inactive member status and will relinquish their position in the orchestra.

5. An inactive member may re-audition given that an opening still exists for their instrument.

6. Members anticipating a rehearsal absence must notify the Membership VP by email, text, or call, or submit the online form at least 48 hours in advance.

7. The Artistic Director together with the Executive Director will have the discretion to decide if the absence is excusable. In the absence of an Artistic Director, the Board of Directors will serve to monitor absences.

8. After one unexcused absence, the member will be given a warning via documented communication (email or text message.)

9. After two unexcused absences in a concert cycle, a member may be asked to resign their orchestra position. Resignation may be requested following the current concert cycle at the Artistic Director’s discretion.

10. Dress rehearsals and Performances are mandatory.

11. Any removed musician may re-audition the following season after being approved by the Artistic Director, Executive Director, and Board of Directors.
