Sponsored by the DC Peace Team
Wednesday, May 12th 12-1:30pm or 7-8:30pm EDT or Sunday, May 16th 7-8:30pm EDT
Location: ONLINE (Zoom link is in the confirmation message and via email closer to the event)
Sometimes we make judgments, accusations, and assumptions in life, it's a natural process and one evolutionary strategy that makes us human. In this workshop, we will explore some of the ways our minds jump to conclusions without supporting evidence or a clear understanding of the circumstances to make sense of complicated issues in our lives. We will investigate the needs beneath our judgments, accusations, and assumptions and how we can use them to better understand ourSelves and how we interact with the world. By acknowledging the presence of these interpretations in our lives, we can become aware of unmet needs which might empower us to make changes in our lives and reduce our suffering, to find more ease and connection.
This CNVC++ series of workshops is rooted in Compassionate Nonviolent Communication framework and expanded with supporting modalities to explore how we interact with our Selves, Others and our Environment, incorporating theory and practice, and grounded with evidence from science. All are welcome.
