Discord Community Registration - L1534

This form is for members and supporters of AFGE Local 1534 who wish to join our private Discord community.  We created this space to provide a safe, supportive environment where colleagues can connect, share experiences, provide resources, and maintain solidarity outside of official channels.  Because trust is essential, we ask these questions to verify eligibility and ensure that everyone in the server is here in good faith.

The majority of our members are Civil Service Officers at State who have been impacted by recent reductions in force.  At the same time, we are an inclusive community that welcomes participation from Foreign Service Officers, USAID, DFC, and other federal employees who share in our commitment to mutual support and open dialogue.

All information collected through this form will be kept secure and confidential by the server administrators, who are themselves current or former federal employees.  Your responses will never be shared outside of the administration team, disclosed to management, or used for any purpose beyond verifying participation.

I certify that I am not currently serving, nor have I previously served, as a political appointee, non-career Senior Executive Service official, or equivalent Senior Bureau Official.  Should I accept or seek such an appointment, I agree to provide immediate written notification to the administrators of this group, and I understand that my continued participation, if permitted, may be subject to restricted access, conditional approval, or termination at the discretion of AFGE Local 1534’s elected officers.

I further acknowledge and agree that all information, communications, and discussions within this platform are considered internal union communications, protected under applicable federal labor laws, and intended solely for the benefit of the vetted membership of AFGE Local 1534, and others. Such information shall not be disclosed, reproduced, or disseminated outside this community without the prior express authorization of AFGE Local 1534’s elected officers, or, where applicable, the originating participants.  These obligations remain binding regardless of any subsequent change in my employment status or affiliation, and invalidity of any single clause herein shall not affect the enforceability of the remaining provisions.
