Volunteer for ASAP Job Training
Economic survival is imperative to one's ability to maintain hope and personal dignity during the asylum legal process. To meet this need, ASAP offers comprehensive employment services to help clients secure and retain safe, legal, and meaningful employment. The first component of our program is a week-long job readiness training.

ASAP is recruiting volunteers to assist with our upcoming job readiness training. It will take place from Monday, January 14th – Friday, January 18th at 4340 Connecticut Ave on the UDC campus. It will be in the Moot Court Room, Room 518. The building is a 3-minute walk from the Van Ness-UDC metro.

Volunteers are welcome to attend one or multiple days to assist with the training. Volunteers are encouraged to come at 12:00PM with food to contribute to our potluck lunch (no pork please). After lunch, volunteers who can stay will co-facilitate small group breakout sessions designed to help clients practice skills learned in the morning. Directions for the assigned breakout sessions are provided to volunteers after lunch.

Questions can be directed to Noah at noah@asylumprojectdc.org.

We strongly encourage volunteers to join us for lunch from 12-1PM. Will you be able to join us on the days selected above? *
Food insecurity is a common problem among the clients we serve. For this reason, it is important for us to provide lunch and snacks during the job training. ASAP relies on volunteers to help supplement our lunches. What can you contribute to our potluck lunch? (enough to feed 8-10 people)
