Parents, please review these guidelines with your athlete(s) before completing registration.

By joining the CHSM Crimson Knights Program we understand that the primary purpose of CHSM is to help athletes strive for excellence in sports while developing leadership skills & character traits that are supported by Biblically-centered life principles.

We certify that each of our athlete(s) is eligible and meets these qualifications:

We will do our part to enhance the positive perception of CHSM by:

1. Honoring God with our words & deeds at CHSM events

2. Following rules established by the teams or coaches

3. Protecting the CHSM culture by not:

a. Using profane/vulgar language, alcohol, tobacco, or drugs at CHSM events

b. Posting on social media anything that would shed a negative light on

ourselves as members of CHSM

c. Arguing with those in authority – (referees, coaches, CHSM staff, etc...)

d. Yelling at CHSM parents, coaches, or players (including my own)

e. Yelling at the opposing players, coaches, parents, gym hosts, or tournament

officials

We will be good teammates and team parents by:

1. Being aware that the team is not complete unless each athlete is there and we

will, within our control:

a. Attend all practices, games, and team events (and notify the coach ASAP

when that is not possible)

b. Arrive to all CHSM practices, games, team events, and functions in a timely

manner

2. Respecting the authority of CHSM by not:

a. Approaching athletes on the bench during games

b. Inserting myself into team huddles, meetings, devotionals, practices, or games

c. Abiding by the Crimson Knights appeal process in accordance with Matthew

18:15-17:

i. Allow 24 hours to pass before I approach someone

ii. Go to the individual I have a concern with to seek resolution

iii. If we are not able to resolve the issue, speak with the individual, and a

CHSM Staff Member together

iv. If we are still not able to resolve the issue, speak with the individual, a

CHSM Staff Member together, and the CHSM Basketball Director

Each athlete understands that playing time is dependent upon:

1. Maintaining academic qualifications of a C (or 2.0 GPA) average

2. Developing his or her game outside of practice

3. Listening and applying instruction from coaches

4. Preparing for games mentally by taking notes and watching game film

5. Preparing for games physically through rest, nutrition, and being in game shape

6. Demonstrating a team-first attitude

7. Recognizing I am an ambassador of CHSM and will represent the program by

following the simple dress code:

a. No jewelry is allowed in games

b. Appropriate dress and grooming appearance is expected at all team functions
