Understanding Human Rights Standards for Belarus: Intensive Course for Practitioners

The Summer School will be devoted to additionally selected targeted issues of international law relevant to Belarus and important for the development and functioning of civil society and the general democratic development of the future Belarus.

In addition to usual educational activities on targeted topics, there will be offline lectures by keynote speakers - specialists in the field of human rights with global authority.

The special kind of the Summer School activities is project work. The participants will be divided into groups and prepare and present a project related to the specific area of human rights issues for the future Belarus. 

Within the project work, social partners from Belarusian civil society organizations, as well as representatives from Lithuanian government bodies, will be involved in mentoring participants.

There is an opportunity to provide support for participants (compensation of transport costs and organization of accommodation in Vilnius.) Final details on providing support and it's amount will be known after the final number of participants is determined. 

The motivation of a potential participant is crucial for making a decision on participation.
