Welcome and congratulations for choosing to participate in the IMPACT CAMP.
We are delighted in your interest to register as a Resource Group Leader in this program. We acknowledge your commitment to your own development and your dedication in serving the youth of Aruba
As a Resource Group Leader (RGL) you will be supporting a group of max. 8 youth during the 4-day program by encouraging and facilitating discussions and activities, supporting each group member by being open and receptive, help manage the time of your group, and serve as a role model during the program. To prepare you for this role, there will be two (2) trainings that you will need to attend. See below for the dates.
We look forward to sharing this IMPACT CAMP with you. This IMPACT CAMP will include an ACE Program, facilitated by the EduCare Foundation, which is a student success, youth empowerment, character-building program, and a final activity on Youth Day (12 August 2023).
To support you in preparing for the program, we are providing the following information:
DATES AND TENTATIVE PROGRAM TIMES:
Saturday 29 July 2023 - Orientation training for Impact Camp. 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Monday 7 August 2023 - Professional Development Workshop. 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Tuesday 8 August - Thursday 10 August 3-Day ACE Program: 9:00 AM - 5:00PM*
Saturday 12 August 2023- Youth Day project :
10:00 AM - 2:00 PMTentative location : Teresita Center, San Nicolas (to be confirmed soon).
*NOTE:
On August 8 - August 10, RGLs must arrive before 8:00 am.
On August 10, the program ends at 5:30 pm and is followed by a "family evening" from 6:00 - 7:30 pm where parents and caregivers of the participants are invited to hear about what their children experienced. You are welcome to stay for the family evening, but it is not mandatory.
On August 12, RGLs are expected at least 30 minutes and 30 minutes after.
