Este sábado 22 de noviembre  como parte del IV ENCUENTRO SALUD MENTAL SALUD SOCIAL abrimos un espacio urgente y necesario para reflexionar y actuar juntas: ¿Cómo lograr que España cumpla realmente la CDPD y ponga fin al internamiento forzoso y a toda forma de coerción?

El encuentro será presencial en El Local Cambalache y online por Zoom, con traducción español/inglés.
Para participar en cualquiera de las dos modalidades es imprescindible inscribirse mediante este formulario.

Durante la sesión abordaremos:

🔹 La vulneración de derechos fundamentales en España por “razón” de diagnóstico psiquiátrico: dignidad, libertad e igualdad, y la obligación del Estado de cumplir la CDPD sin excepciones.
🔹 La reciente sentencia del TEDH que condena a España por un ingreso psiquiátrico forzoso sin garantías.
🔹 El posicionamiento y las enmiendas de la Coalición ActivaMent–Hierbabuena al proyecto de Ley de Derechos Sociales.

Es el momento de exigir juntxs, dentro y fuera de España, el fin de la legislación que nos discrimina.

This Saturday, November 22nd, as part of the IV SOCIAL AND MENTAL HEALTH GATHERING, we are opening an urgent and necessary space to reflect and take action together: How can we ensure that Spain truly complies with the CRPD and puts an end to forced institutionalization and all forms of coercion?  

The meeting will take place in person at El Local Cambalache and online via Zoom, with Spanish/English interpretation.

During the session we will address:

🔹 The violation of fundamental rights in Spain on the grounds of psychiatric diagnosis: dignity, liberty, and equality, and the State’s obligation to comply with the CRPD without exceptions.
🔹 The recent ECtHR ruling that condemns Spain for a forced psychiatric admission without safeguards.
🔹 The position and amendments submitted by the ActivaMent–Hierbabuena Coalition to the Social Rights Bill.

This is the moment to demand together—within and beyond Spain—the end of legislation that discriminates against us.
