VAULT: Collective History Mining
VAULT is a new immersive musical theatre production in development, co-created by Beth Dart, Megan Dart, and Lindsey Walker.
VAULT will be a deeply personal, expressively intimate, and emotionally impactful new work that explores known and unknown women and people of underrepresented genders in our collective history - people who persevered, and whose stories fundamentally shaped and continue to shape our experience.
To inform our process with as many diverse and broad perspectives as possible, we are gathering inspirations from our communities. This survey is one tool we are using in our process. All responses collected in this survey will remain anonymous unless express consent by the contributor is provided.
Imagine: you are forced to suddenly leave your home for the last time. Aside from the clothes on your back and your family (including your fur-family), what is the one thing you take with you?
In your opinion, who is the most influential female, trans*, or non-binary human in local, provincial, or national history (this can include family members and personal anecdotes, lesser-known people in history, or well-known historical figures)?
What about your own family history do you hope lives on?
What about local/provincial/national history do you wish you had learned more about (in school, from your family/community etc.)?
